Much of KETTLE WHISTLE finds Jane's Addiction relapsing into its old hard-core self, with some added electronic effects. The new tracks continue in the Jane's Addiction tradition of tribal drumming and odd time signatures while Farrell's voice and Navarro's guitar beckon us to take a trip with them. Suddenly, the world erupts and electric guitar lava spews forth. Behind it all, Stephen Perkins pounds away at the drums, giving them the percussive force of bolders.
