About Danny Elfman

Well-known as both the frontman of new wave cabaret act Oingo Boingo and as perhaps the most acclaimed film composer of the late-20th/early-21st century, Danny Elfman is one of the most talented and enigmatic figures in pop music. In addition to composing the theme song to THE SIMPSONS television program, Elfman has also had a long-standing relationship with filmmaker Tim Burton, having composed scores for nearly all of Burton's films. Elfman's eclectic influences contribute to an almost unmistakable sound, one that has carried over into orchestral compositions like 2005's SERENADA SCHIZOPHRANA.
